Introducing
Hillary Wendroff, Owner:
Eye
Mill is the brainchild of Hillary Wendroff. She set out to create a
unique line of eyewear that is both accessible and beautiful--the
result is Eye Mill’s WoodWorks line of eyeglasses. Her adherence to
form and function, along with her eye for detail and quality,
can be seen in every pair of Eye Mill eyeglasses. The natural grain
and hues of Eye Mill’s wood frames sets this eyewear line apart and
fulfills Hillary’s vision for creating a look that is subdued,
elegant and timeless.
Hillary
returned to her native Los Angeles, after a 2 year stint in San
Francisco, to pursue a career in casting. After working among the
stars and starlets of Hollywood, she decided to combine her experience
in the entertainment industry and her passion for eyewear (a passion
that she inherited from her Optometrist father) to create Prop Specs (www.propspecs.com).
Prop Specs is a prop rental house that rents and sells eyewear to the
entertainment industry. Hillary has fit characters from Malcolm X to
Velma from Scooby Doo using pieces from her vintage and modern eyewear
collections.
With
a successful prop company established and continuing to grow, Hillary
turned her attention to Eye Mill. As a purveyor of eyewear for movies,
television and commercials, Hillary has to keep on the cutting edge of
eyewear fashion. There she saw an unfilled niche for high-quality,
understated-yet-stylish fashion eyeglasses. When she hit upon the idea
of combining sleek designs with beautiful wood grains and finishes,
she knew she had found her first line--WoodWorks.
